About the
Crush
The Eau Claire Crush is the
Chippewa Valley's exclusive adult amateur football 501©(3) nonprofit
organization. The organization came to being in 2006, when a
group of outstanding citizens came together with a single idea to
provide the Chippewa Valley with quality entertainment at an
affordable price, while simultaneously giving back to the
communities that have lovingly supported them. The Eau Claire
Crush entered their inaugural season in 2007 as a member of the
Great Plains Football League (GPFL). We ended that season as
the Eastern Conference Champions and runner-up to the GPFL
championship.
In 2008, the Crush joined with
seven other teams to create the Northern Elite Football League
(NEFL). The NEFL is a non-profit organization formed to help
promote adult amateur football and commitment to the community,
while giving every team in the league an equal vote in operating the
league. The 2008 season again proved to be a successful
campaign for the Crush, as we went undefeated in the regular season,
bringing home the Eastern Conference championship; however, we were
once again denied the league championship.
The Crush are prepared to take
the field for the 2009 season. The NEFL expanded by two teams
in the off-season, causing the league to restructure the conference
by moving the Crush to the Western conference. This season the
Crush are led on the field by new Head Coach Todd Trapp with only
one mission in mind, bringing home the NEFL Championship
trophy!
